A Letter from COLSA President & COO, Barry Gosnell

Dear NTSS employees,

I wanted to take a moment to reach out to each one of you and share some information as a result of COLSA Corporation’s selection as the NTSS prime contractor.  COLSA is extremely excited for the opportunity to support the NASA Shared Services Center in their mission. We also recognize that each of you are an integral part of the Center’s success!

COLSA has been in business over 40 years. Our Chairman and founder, Mr. Francisco J. Collazo founded COLSA Corporation in 1980. Mr. Collazo envisioned a distinctive kind of engineering and support services company.  COLSA continues to have a reputation of excellence and quality work, to deliver unsurpassed customer support, and to provide a work environment that attracts and retains the best talent. The key to COLSA’s success is having the right team in place with an emphasis on a core set of values.  These COLSA values are:

  • People are our most valuable resource.
  • Integrity should underlie all that we do.
  • Teamwork is integral to success.
  • Customer Satisfaction is the cornerstone of our corporation.

These values are not just words but are truly embedded in our culture.  The new contract has been awarded and has been finalized. Please be assured our intent is to have an excellent transition experience for each of you.  We will host an open house, both in person and virtually to familiarize you with COLSA and our team of subcontractors for the effort.  Additionally, we will have a specific website for you to reference concerning the COLSA Team and the contract’s transition activities. We will ensure you know our benefits and options that will best fit your individual needs.

The COLSA Team’s intent during transition will be to first hire from the current workforce who has the knowledge and expertise required for contract and mission execution. We recognize that a successful workforce transition is necessary and very beneficial for you, NASA, and the COLSA team.  We look forward to working with this great team in support of NASA and are excited as we roll into our formal transition activities.
