Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific Naval Air Warfare Center

COLSA’s West Coast Operations is located in San Diego, California. Because of its strategic location, San Diego has a strong military presence. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR) is headquartered in San Diego, along with SPAWAR’s C4ISR research and development facility, SPAWAR Systems Center (SSC) Pacific. Several other military facilities crucial to the nation’s defense, including Naval Base San Diego (largest Navy base on the West Coast), North Island Naval Air Station (NAS), Camp Pendleton (USMC), and Miramar Marine Air Station (MAS), are located here. The ongoing requirements for these installations provide COLSA with significant opportunities to develop cutting-edge technologies in the defense industry, and to offer our employees the chance to perform important work and follow exciting, meaningful careers.
With over 80 employees, COLSA’s West Cost Operations Division provides a wide range of software engineering services; installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard communications systems; configuration management expertise; and test engineering support for these customers:

Moreover, San Diego is home to such nationally recognized institutions as the Tony-winning Old Globe Theater, as well as one of the most highly regarded centers for scientific research in the world, the University of California San Diego.
