COLSA’s West Coast Operation currently supports the following Naval Air Warfare Center program:
MIDS Host Computer (MHC)
– The COLSA-developed MIDS Host Computer (MHC)
software reduces the processing burden on the EA-6B
Prowler aircraft tactical display and mission computer
by handling the details of the Link-16 MIDS interface.
This “middleware” software is now flying on the EA-6B
electronic warfare aircraft and has been praised by
the Navy engineering community and by the squadrons
flying the Prowler in the fleet. In addition, COLSA
developed a stand-alone Mission Planning System (MPS)
application to fully support the EA-6B Link 16 MIDS
squadron operational requirements and engineering and
test development.
COLSA is currently working on software to support the
Jammer Techniques Optimization (JATO) program, which
is intended to enhance the jamming capabilities of the
EA-18G Growler.
