The Northwest Florida Panhandle is known for its year-round warm sunny climate and its pristine beaches and rivers. Eglin Air Force Base is home to the Air Force’s Air Armament Wing who is responsible for the development, acquisition, testing, deployment and sustainment of all air-delivered weapons in order to provide superior combat capability to the war-fighter. The 46th Test Wing is also located on Eglin Air Force base and is responsible for the test and evaluation of munitions, electronic countermeasures, and navigation/guidance systems for the Air Armament Center.
