COLSA (Colorado Springs) currently supports the following SMDC/ARSTRAT program:

Space and Missile Defense Initiatives Support (SMDIS) III– COLSA provides support for the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense (SMDC)/Army Strategic Command’s (ARSTRAT) evolving and current missions, from emphasis on Army space and missile defense to SMDC/ARSTRAT’s role as the Army Service Component Command for U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM). COLSA supports efforts to provide dominant space and missile defense capabilities for the Army and to plan for and integrate those capabilities in support of USSTRATCOM and Geographic Combatant Commanders (GCC) missions. This includes planning, modeling and simulation, system analysis and integration, integrated logistics support, development of strategy, support to the Warfighter, contingency and mission support, program oversight, independent verification, validation, and test evaluation, prototype development, sustainment and operation, and analysis of emerging technologies in the areas of Space, Missile Defense, Information Operations, Global Strike, and Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR).
