I am the primary developer for the ARC Genetic Programming Lab (ARCGPL), a state-of-the-art Evolutionary Computing (EC) software suite. We use ARCGPL to help our customers solve complex problems that are often difficult or impossible to solve in any other fashion. Our success with ARGPL has helped COLSA become recognized in the cutting-edge field of Evolutionary Computing. The ARGPL toolset helps us solve issues in technical fields such as signal processing, lidar modeling, route optimization, and object discrimination.
COLSA has given me the opportunity to apply evolutionary computing techniques, including genetic programming and genetic algorithms, to a variety of worthy and interesting problems and to advance the field through research and development, and through paper presentations at various conferences. Perhaps the best part of my job is the research opportunity that always seems to arise from application of our evolutionary computing software in a new problem area. This has led to attendance at various conferences where we have published several papers.
