Near Space Long Loitering (NSLL) Payload –COLSA developed a fully functional space and high altitude test bed facility now called the Space High-Altitude Integration Evaluation Laboratory Data System (SHIELDS) to refine the requirements, conduct concept evaluations, integrate and test candidate sensors and payloads in order to significantly increase the military utility of prototype Small Tactical Space Systems and High Altitude Long Loiter platforms and programs.
